I talked alot with a Taurus Rep at the NRA Convention today, got to play with a 709 and 740, both of which had the extended mag. The word from him was that the 740 was 90 days away and would ship with a regular and an extended mag. The 709 extended mag should be out at the same time according to the Rep.The Taurus Model 709 Slim 9mm in my opinion is probably worst handgun you can purchase. The 709 barrel actually blew up at the range after about 200 rounds. As a 30 yr. gun instructor, I would save up a little more and purchase a reliable and safe handgun.
