The speed 3 can do it ALL including your daily/easy runs. BUT they are wasted on easy runs especially when you have others in your rotation, like taking your Ferrari for grocery shopping. Got Superblast recently and it is a different beast from NB3 and Nimbus 25. While Superblast had a firmer step in feel, the cushioning is superb and responsive. It is light on foot, similar to NB3. If you mean the shape of midsole, the reason is weight saving and the World Athletics’ limit of 40mm in heel stack height. The heel is ~40mm but the stack height in the middle of the shoe is actually more. I tried it in June.
