Mine once got stuck at the 500m deep degasi base cave (above the base). It got pushed into the top by a crab squid. My Seamoth got stuck in the island once. All you have to do is get floaters, get as close to the island as possible, and release them. It should attach to the Seamoth and make the it jump out of the island. You may have to repair it a bit, but you will have it back. This happened to me in the grassy plateau.

My seamoth was destroyed once at the entrance to the lost river by the juvenile ghost leviathan there. I ran away to a tiny base I made in the blood kelp forest. There are no leviathans but still being stuck 500m deep with no sub was pretty terrifying. Fortunately you can easily swim back with a big tank and seaglide.
