And you can probably have a functional Trooper team by level 40 when you unlock Galactic War, or close to it. Troopers were one of the best GW-clearing teams even before Piett, Gideon and Dark came along.

I read it on the subreddit a few hours before last Proving Grounds closed (and I lost badly with everything, from GAS to JML) and that CLS team cleared it at 3*.
