r/Polaroid • This is my polaroid, and I was wondering how I can take pictures in the night without my entire photo being dark. I was in Bryant park and I took a picture of the Empire State Building but it ended up looking like this.It is a disappointing response, but as I said, I did notice Gen 2 read 1/3 stop darker than my Gen 1 in bright light and I noticed a difference in Tripod Mode (23 Seconds vs 60 minutes on Gen 1 for the same scene). I am going to run more tests of the Tripod Mode to test it further.I've started with an Impulse AF and recently got a OneStep+, and I'd say no, not really, there isn't a meaningful difference in sharpness. Also, Polaroids will probably never look like digital photos printed on film, and neither will Instax, excluding the few Fuji cameras that do actually take digital photos and just print them.21 votes, 15 comments. 61K subscribers in the Polaroid community. Please note that Polaroid doesn’t support Instax and vice versa in general but Polaroid rebranded some Fuji cameras as Polaroid making them compatible. If you want to see the printers that support Instax, search for “Printer” under the type column.
