I've had shift fork problems with my 4wd a few times and had to replace the fork a couple of times, but that can be done by draining the hydraulic oil and the shifter/fork assy unbolts from the side of the case easily. Next time I have a problem it's going to go and I'll install an inline disposable filter. That replacement nut was almost $17 alone. This is a 'Torx' head bolt, either a T40 or T45 size.
