Deiny eggs need to be very very hot (somewhere around 80, I don't even think it's possible without campfires unless your on the volcano. Fjordur is a cold map. Put more torches down until it incubates. Or put the egg away in a preserving bin until you can make ACs or tame some dimetrodons or penguins.

I really think that Deinonychus should spawn as level 190 eggs, like wyverns and rock drakes. It's just ridiculous how weak Deinonychus are, especially for an egg-stealing variant.
