Well I just installed Curseforge again to verify and yes it's still terribly slow to open compared to WowUp, yes it installs the garbage Overwolf app when you install Curseforge, and yes it opens Overwolf in the background whenever you open Curseforge (and starts Overwolf in the background with your computer by default).
