At the lowest setting shoots an inch of btm of paper and at the most elev still way low. That is a 11 x 17 piece of paper. The sight threads on the PT111 G2 are M2.6x.45, which is not a very common thread. Fortunately, M2.5x.45 and SAE 3x56 screws will fit in the threads. They are just slightly looser than the proper thread.
