Take Metamagic Master instead. It does what magical lineage does better. Flurry of Snowballs is good with rime spell. Any AOE spell with the cold descriptor suits, ice storm or cone of cold if you are prepared to wait for a long time. Hurting a bunch of enemies and entangling them is really good.Magical lineage & prestigious caster would get you to level 18 caster casting like a 16th level wizard. As a human youll get 15 feats with this build, which is enough for all the above feats, plus arcing weapon, explosive weapon, improved critical and 4 extra rages. Rage, cast, smash, critical, repeat Add bouncing spell to it and I can turn a miss into a possible hit at 100ft. I like that these spells are level 2 which means I can start using them as soon as I iht level 4. The other suggestions are great but I don't know what level the Reign of Winter AP will take us and would like to get as much use out of magical lineage as I can. Magical Lineage was never intended as a way for you to actually lower a spell's level. It was put in to allow you to reduce the increase from a metamagic feat. So, no unlimited magic missiles. I will see to it that the language of this ability is clarified soon and I will get this added to the FAQ.

Not that this means anything to the actual game of Pathfinder, but in the video game Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Wayang Spellhunter and Magical Lineage do stack with each other and on the same spell, if desired. Regardless, RAW yes, they stack. But RAI, no they shouldn't. Expect table variance on this one.

I dont think anyone is against that. Wayang spellhunter is able to reduce the metamagic cost to below the original spell level. The faq says Level 12 cleric for example would heal 5d8+12 (34.5 avg) with breath of life vs 6d8 for Inspiring Recovery (27 avg). It's not a big difference but hey it exists. It's also more consistent at hitting decent numbers. BOL at that level has 83% chance of hitting at least 30 while Inspiring Recovery only has a 33% chance. Reply.
