Tapping into the BCM wiring for this is extremely easy. Get yourself a momentary switch and mount it where you want. One pin goes to the Red with Green stripe wire on pin 2 of the white plug at the BCM. The trunk button still does not work. I looked through the owner's manual and found on page 5-105 a schematic for the Rear Compartment Fuse Block. This appears to have the relay for the Trunk Release (item 22 for those playing along at home). The problem is, the manual states this block is located INSIDE the trunk.
